GPB

GPB is the Georgian national public broadcaster.

It broadcasts from around 7:45 to 8:00am daily Georgian time and begins is broadcast day with this fantastic start up video.

It is relatively new as a public broadcaster, as late as 2004 it was still a state broadcaster.

First is a cute little ident, that was part of their Christmas package, since this was recorded in early January and you also see the Digital On screen Graphic has snow flakes falling.

Then straight into the start up video with a little boy running to school, then pans into a shot of the school where the little boy starts raising the flag of Georgia up the flag pole, then the group of school kids start signing the national anthem.

Did you notice all the children had back packs with the Georgian flags sewn in?

Then various shots of Georgia, its peoples, its armed forces, its police, its politicians, then into a group with an opera singer finishes the song, then cuts into the little boy in his school class looking over to the window to see the Georgian flag blowing in the wind.

What a fantastic way to start the day, very patriotic and symbolic.
