Tunis TV7 is a state owned channel in Tunisia broadcasting on various VHF channels countrywide, but its broadcasts are on VHF Channel 7 from the transmitter on top of the Bou Kornine mountain. Not until very recently were private TV and radio banned in Tunisia, TV7 broadcasts a mixture of shows in French and Arabic.
Not until very recently Tunis TV7 would close down at night with this video, but now they are in the 24/7 broadcasting game, but continue to use this video at around 5am and directly afterwards have readings from the Koran.
I have watched this channel close down many times, the most interesting thing for me was after close down was the change of test card from Tunis 7 to the broadcasting regulators test card, most wouldn't even notice but I notice these things easily.
Right onto the start up, first we see a channel identification of theirs, and into a computer generated weighing scales to represent the law I guess with the National Anthem of Tunisia playing, a very artistic ship dawning the flag of Tunisia that pans away into a shot of a sword, the scales, the ship, a lion and the flag morphs into a ball they all mix together to create the Coat of Arms of Tunisia.
Now shots of the country, farming, rivers, industry, Mosques, country side, their national football team, surgeons, military, and shot of the flag of Tunisia.
Hope you all enjoy....
