Channel One Russia Europe

Channel One Russia Europe is a free to air satellite channel broadcasting to Europe using programming from Channel One.

Channel One is 51% controlled by the state of the Russia, and has a long history of broadcasting, it traces its history back to Soviet days as Soviet Channel One and still airs a few shows that originate from the Soviet days including the news which is still very popular.

Channel One is the most prosperous channel in Russia and has the highest budget for television production.

Channel One produces many time zone broadcasts delayed for broadcast internally in Russia and also time delayed broadcasts for the rest of the world.

The Video

Now onto the video, with various shots of Moscow's Red Square and Grand Kremlin Palace which is the Presidents ceremonial residence in Moscow with the Flag of Russia flying above it and the National Anthem playing through out.

The National Anthem of Russia which is basically now the old Soviet Anthems tune with new words, Russia adopted a new one after the fall of the Soviet Union, but it was not well liked, so in 2000 former President and current Prime Minister Vladimir Putin brought it back with new words.

Then into a clock ticking into the 8am hour Moscow time, broadcasters of he former USSR love clocks even cable channels have them in Russia.

This is a much better video than what is aired by Russia TV which originated as Soviet Channel Two which just airs the flag and national anthem.

I hope you all enjoy.
