JOAK-DTV Channel 27
JOAK-DTV is a digital public broadcast television station located in Tokyo Japan.
JOAK-DTV broadcasts a ISBD digital signal and serves the Kanto region of Japan which includes the capital Tokyo.
JOAK-DTV in Tokyo can be seen on UHF Channel 27 transmitted from the Tokyo Tower, and broadcasts the programs of NHK General TV.
NHK general TV is the first broadcast television network from NHK the public broadcaster of Japan, and focuses on general entertainment shows, like drama, variety shows, anime, sports, quizzes and news, NHK directly competes against its commercial counterparts in each broadcast region in Japan.
The History
JOAK-TV, its analogue parent station originally started broadcasting as NHK General TV on February 1st 1953, broadcasting on VHF Channel 1 and serving the Tokyo and Kanto region of Japan.
This made JOAK-TV the first television station in Japan, coming on air six months before its commercial rival JOAX-TV Nippon Television on VHF Channel 4.
The Video
I think I will let this video speak for itself.
What I can tell you is the female announcer reads out what is written on the call sign identification card.
This translates to I think NHK Tokyo General Digital Television.
I hope you all enjoy.....

Super RTL Austria
Super RTL is a German children's and general entertainment cable and satellite channel in Germany.
Super RTL broadcasts from Cologne in Germany, and has 3 country variations, one for Germany one for Switzerland and one for Austria, all three air the same content except for commercials which are tailored to either country and over night programming.
Super RTL is a partnership between Disney and the RTL Group.
Super RTL Germany over night airs phone in gaming shows, while Austria and Switzerland still close down
The Video
First we see the final ident of the evening with a female announcer saying Schön, dich zu sehen which translates to Nice to see you.
Then into the video, yes a burning log fire, this is what Super RTL Austria airs over night and I believe Switzerland to.
Before Super RTL Germany decided on airing gaming shows they aired this to and had done since I think the channels launch.
The idea to broadcast a burning wood fire at night on a television station is nothing new, WPIX in New York has been broadcasting a burning Yule Log film on Christmas Eve in various forms since 1966.
This has spread onto to other US television stations who also broadcast a Yule Log on Christmas Eve.
Have a wonderful week.
Cheers and enjoy

Yemen TV
Yemen TV is the international channel from Yemen's state broadcaster Republic of Yemen Television.
Yemen TV broadcasts a lot of news content, drama, documentaries, religious programming and other informative shows in Arabic but does have an English language news cast.
Yemen TV content is provided by Yemen's two terrestrial channels.
Channel One broadcasts from Yemen's capital San‘a’. While Channel Two broadcasts from Aden.
Since Yemen TV is an international satellite channel it can be seen on many different satellites broadcasting to different areas of the world, this is done so Yemeni immigrants abroad can stay in touch with Yemen.
Yemen Television also provides one or two other television channels that I think can be seen terrestrially in Yemen as well as in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe on the Badr 4 satellite at 26°E.
The Video
Not much to be said about this video, a shot of the Flag of Yemen flying in the wind, National Anthem playing and the Coat of Arms in the top left corner.
The green text I think translates to Republic of Yemen and something else, but I can not figure out what the last words are.
Any Arabic readers able to comment please do so.
I hope you all enjoy.

Grozny TV
Grozny TV is television station based in Chechnya which is a federal subject of Russia.
Broadcasting from Grozy which is the capital of Chechnya.
I assume can be viewed terrestrially in Grozny and maybe the whole of Chechnya, and if there is a cable system in place there as well.
But since just this week it can also be seen in Europe on the Express AM1 satellite at 40°E and the Express AM22 satellite at 53°E.
I am sorry I can not explain this video in more detail, the channel is so new to me I do not even know what style of programming it broadcasts, other that I believe it broadcasts in Russian and maybe Chechen
I did notice something interesting, there is an image in the video that seemed to resemble something I had seen once before.
I have since been told its resembles former logo of Radio Moscow from the late 1960s.

I guess the video can speak for itself for the rest.
I hope you all enjoy.
Cheers

TRT 4 is an educational and culture channel, so airs documentaries, and concerts and other shows of educational value.
TRT 4 does not broadcast a 24 hour schedule it shares its broadcast hours with TRT's new Children's television channel TRT Çocuk, which airs from 7am local time to 9pm then TRT 4 takes the remaining hours.
TRT stands for Türkiye Radyo ve Televizyon Kurumu or in English the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation.

TRT 4 first went on the air on July 30th 1990 and can be seen in Turkey on terrestrial television, and in Europe through Türksat 3A satellite at 42°E.
To see the national anthem video used by TRT before this one click Here.

The video starts with the Flag of Turkey flying in the wind with the National Anthem playing, various patriotic shots, photos of various leader.
Saluting soldiers, photos of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and shots of various statues.

NRK1 Start Up
NRK1 is the first television channel from Norway's public broadcaster NRK.
NRK stands for Norsk rikskringkasting or in English Norwegian Public Broadcasting, but a better term would be the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
NRK1 as it is a public broadcasters airs a wide variety of shows, news and current affairs, documentaries, entertainment programming and even shows from the BBC subtitled in Norwegian.
NRK1 can be seen on VHF Channel 5 using PAL system in Oslo Norway's capital.
NRK1 can also be seen terrestrially in most of the country in analogue and in digital with DVB-T, as well as on cable, satellite and at times on-line with web streams.
The History
NRK1 can trace its history to 1956 when the tests broadcasts were made, but broadcasting officially began in 1960.
This made Norway one of the last countries in Western Europe to get television, this was due to Norway's geography and rural settlements making it an expensive task to reach the majority of the population.
Colour broadcasting was made permanent by 1975.
NRK1 does not close down at night, they air a over night music service.
The Video
Right this is a very simple video, first minute or so is what is on today slide.
Then two promos first for NRK P2 which is their news, debates, sciences, culture and affairs national radio station.
Second is for NRK P1 which is their general national radio station, but NRK P1 also has regional output, so for six hours each day the programming comes from a studio closer to to the listeners location.
Finally NRK1 digital clock counting into 6:30am local time and into their new broadcast day.
I hope you all enjoy

Jamahiriya Satellite Channel
Jamahirya Satellite Channel is an international television channel from the LJBC in Libya.
Jamahiriya Satellite Channel airs news, current affairs, documentaries and various entertainment shows.
Jamahiriya Satellite Channel continues to close down around 2am local time each morning.
Jamahiriya Satellite Channel can be seen on many broadcast satellites around the world.
There is little information around for me to tell you when television started in Libya or even when Jamahiriya Satellite Channel started broadcasting.
LJBC stands for Libyan Jamahiriya Broadcasting Corporation.
LJBC is the state broadcaster for Libya, they also operate state radio stations the local version of Jamahiriya Channel seen over the air in Libya and two sports channels.
The Video
I will let this video speak for itself, it heavily features Muammar al-Gaddafi and the National Anthem of Libya is played and Flag is also featured.
Lots of shots that are typical to close down videos though, seems very 1980s to me.
Anyway I hope you all enjoy this video...

RTNC
RTNC is the public service radio and television broadcaster of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
RTNC broadcasts on VHF channel 5 using the SECAM standard with a radiated power of 27 kW's in Kinshasa the capital and has I believe relays of 1 and 2 kW's in few other towns and cities.
RTNC can also for now be viewed freely across Western and Eastern Europe, North Africa, The Middle East and far into Russia and Central Asia on the Eutelsat Sesat satellite at 36°E.
RTNC stands for Radio Télévision Nationale Congolaise or in English Congolese National Radio Television.
RTNC broadcast lots of news orientated shows and discussions, this channel is very new to me so have not had much time to see its variety of programming.
RTNC broadcasts in five languages including French, and I guess the officially recognised languages of Lingala, Kongo/Kituba, Swahili, Tshiluba.
The History
RTNC television can trace its history to 1976 when the country was known as Zaire. It was then under the authority of the Office Zaïrois De Radiodiffusion et de Télévision or OZRT, which translates in English to the Office of Zairian Radio and Television.
OZRT had a monopoly on broadcasting untill 1993, and was renamed RTNC on May 17th 1997 when the country renamed it self to Democratic Republic of the Congo.
RTNC still closes nightly and starts up at 6am local time.
The Video
This is a short one, it starts with a test card which came on air a few minutes before the start up, before that they aired black level, I guess to switch off the transmitters over the air, the test card has some local music.
Then the National Anthem video begins, simple one, a shot of the Flag of the Democratic Republic of the Congo flying in the wind and the National Anthem playing with the lyrics to the National Anthem scrolling over the shot of the flag.
Then into their new broadcast day.
I hope you all enjoy....
