JONR-DTV is a digital commercial television station located in Osaka Japan.
JONR-DTV is branded on air as ABC which stands for Asahi Broadcasting Corporation.
JONR-DTV is an affiliate of the All-Nippon News Network which is operated by TV Asahi.
JONR-DTV is owned by Asahi Shimbun the second largest circulated national newspaper in Japan.
The History
JONR-TV its analogue parent station originally started broadcasting on VHF channel 6 on December 1tst 1956 under the call sign of JOBX-TV and owned by ABC and New Japan Broadcasting Company under the name Osaka Television.
It was fully acquired by ABC on March 1st 1959 and by June had fully merged the station with its radio station JONR, I assume this is the date it took the JONR-TV call sign and ABC name.
The Video
The video is very self explanatory, but the music used on it must be stock music because it is also used by NHK Education TV through-out its television stations in Japan.
This is the last video I have from Japan I am afraid so I hope you all enjoyed them.
Cheers...
